Save Our Kids Suicide Project

On 22 May 2018, Rosemary Long, the President of the Central Coast Law Society (CCLS) and Val Richardson, one of our long standing Committee members, handed over a cheque for $2850.00 to Lester Pearson who is the team chair of Gosford North Rotary Save Our Kids (SOKS) suicide prevention project, to enable SOKS to provide three Mind Your Sports Mates courses.

CCLS has contributed to various worthy causes over the years.  Aware that suicide is the leading cause of death of all Australians aged between 15 and 44 years it was interested to learn about SOKS.  SOKS is a youth suicide prevention and enrichment programme which Gosford North Rotary runs in conjunction with Lifeline Central Coast.

The donation was funded by the Law Society of NSW’s regional grant allocation and CCLS.
